先日、車を買い替えた（中古車）。
以前乗っていた車は、TOYOTAのエスティマ（これも中古車）。
購入時には、１１万キロ超。金額は、１４万円だったと思う。
１、２年乗れれば良いと思い購入した。
車屋を営んでいる友人Kに、すぐに整備を頼んだ。
『どうだった？』
と聞くと、
『前のオーナーさん、すごい大事にしてたんだな。
オイル交換や定期点検もマメにやってたみたいだよ』と。
ホッと一息。
それからは、友人Kに小さなことから車検等、すべてを任せメンテナンスしてもらった。
昔乗っていた歴代の車たちは、オイル交換も車検ごと、自分の判断でやっていた。
しかし、このエスティマからは管理をKにおまかせした。
手放すときは１７万キロになっていたのだが何事もなく絶好調で走っていた。
しかし、一昨年の５月から税金が上がった。
また税金の時期、そろそろと思い買い替えるに至ったのだ。
住宅も同じで、新築を建ててもメンテナンスを怠り、大事に至ってから直そうとすると大工事になる。
人の体でもまた同様だ。
そうならない為にも、早期発見、早期対応が必要である。
買い換えた愛車も、メンテナンスをしっかりやって、２０万キロ位頑張ってもらおう。
６年間、家族をあちこち連れて行ってくれたエスティマを、感謝の気持ちを込めて半日かけてピッカピカにした。
そして今日の午後、次のオーナーさんの所へお嫁にいきました。
